Psychoangelo is a partnership between composer / guitarist /artist Michael Theodore and trumpeter / sound artist Glen Whitehead. This electro acoustic group creates artificially enhanced environmental music by sculpting ambience, density, orchestral textures, sound objects, and manipulating time through an improvised frame. Time Out Chicago named their release panauromni (Innova records) as a top 10 cd of the year stating “in 1977, NASA loaded spacecraft with records as a cosmic hello to E.T.s. This could be the response.”

Dubbed “futuristic noir jazz, a total sleeper, album of the year candidate” by Stanford Radio, panauromni has been receiving airplay on college radio stations in the United States and on BBC’s Radio 3 and invitations to international music festivls. Among them, Theodore and Whitehead headlined the Innova Fetival at The Stone in New York City, the IMPS Festival in Seattle, and the Bonk Festival. Renowned graphic designer Peter Mendelsund created the cover art for Panauromni. Psychoangelo is currently working on their next recording project produced by Ryan Wurst and expected to be released in 2017 by the Always Human record label.

Panauromni is music of immense scope-panoramic in the truest sense of the word-whose tempered wail often suggests a vortex….a challenging recording but also adventurous and boundary-challenging in the best possible way.” Textura publications
